Blogging about Keto
Welcome!
First things first: I'm an amateur keto guy. I am not a doctor. I don't pretend to be a nutritionist.
Don't Take My Advice!
Don't take my ‘advice' as the final word. In fact, don't do anything that this blog might tempt you to do.
Do lots of research before making decisions about your health!
Gather as much information as you can and try to make informed decisions about your health. I am not trying to persuade or influence people. What I am trying to do is document my journey into the world of the keto diet and lifestyle.
I want to write about what I've learned and share discoveries that I've made.
Keto has changed my life.
It's not a diet for everyone and it's not a one-stop fix-all solution. There is no single diet or eating regime for everyone on the planet. We are all individual and we all have specific nutritional requirements. Different people can tolerate different foods and some respond better than others to high fat, low carb diets. Just as some respond better to the opposite macronutrient ratios.
Life Improvements
How has my life improved since I started following a ketogenic eating regime:
- Vastly improved skin – I suffered from acne caused by inflammation for all of my adult life.
- Better sleep.
- Improved concentration.
- Less agitation and stress.
- Improved athletic performance.
- Faster recovery from injury.
- More regular/flatline mood and energy levels.
That's just me. Not everyone will experience the same results.
From talking to people on ketogenic forums I've learned that ordinary people have experienced
- Weight loss
- Increased motivation
- Cancer regression
- Diabetes risk reduction
- Hair regrowth (!)
- Reduced swelling of areas of the body
- Reduction of hyperhydrosis
What This Blog is Not
There are quite a few things I don't care about and won't really discuss. But if you're looking for information on weight loss then I'd recommend reading other blogs. I didn't get into keto for the purpose of losing weight and I never read about this topic. I might mention it and sometime in the future, I might even write about it. But for now, this blog contains no content about keto for weight loss.
The Keto Experts
If you want the best advice on Keto then start with the following amazing people who are also qualified doctors, nutritionists, scientists, authors, and all round nice people – Unlike me, they have science to back their theories, claims, and advice.
Documentary
The best documentary I've seen about Keto is one that doesn't directly recommend the ketogenic diet is The Magic Pill. It's non-sensationalist and isn't trying to sell a product or lifestyle. It's more about healthy living and documents improvements in health that some people experienced when changing their eating habits. A MUST SEE for anyone interested in their health and wellbeing.

Keto Buzz
Is the Keto Diet taking over the world?
No, there is plenty of resistance to this form of eating. Changing the entire way we've been taught to eat over the last 50 to 60 years will take a long time. But the buzz about keto is real. This is the Google Trends graph for “keto diet” over the last 5 years.
Keto Blog For Beginners
If you've done all of that or you don't care, and you still want to read what I've learned, then enjoy the keto blog and feel free to ask me any questions.
